10 anni di Kushi: un racconto visivo firmato VZNstudio per KDLN.

In occasione del decennale della lampada Kushi, disegnata da Alberto Saggia & Valerio Sommella per KDLN, VZNstudio ha ideato e curato un progetto visivo che celebra la sua iconicità attraverso una nuova narrazione fotografica e un’importante pubblicazione editoriale. Abbiamo selezionato sei fotografi – Mattia Balsamini, Carmen Colombo, Davide Lovatti, Thomas Pagani, Francesco Stelitano e Omar Sartor – invitandoli a reinterpretare Kushi secondo il proprio linguaggio estetico. Ne è nata una ricerca visiva collettiva, che spinge lo sguardo oltre l’oggetto e ne indaga l’interazione con la materia, lo spazio, la figura umana e la luce. Una luce che non si limita a illuminare, ma si fa guida narrativa, assenza poetica, tensione simbolica. Il risultato è un progetto che unisce arte, design e comunicazione visiva in una pubblicazione editoriale, presentata in anteprima al Salone del Mobile 2025 presso lo stand KDLN insieme a una mostra che raccoglie il risultato del progetto. Uu volume che raccoglie le immagini, i testi originali degli autori e una riflessione collettiva sull’essenza luminosa di Kushi.

In 2024, Ceramica Cielo continues its journey into
the world of design by presenting a range of products
at the Salone del Mobile that combine, as always, tradition and innovation. The research starts with questions that the designers and the company ask themselves about what interesting, stimulating, and sometimes unexplored products could be offered to the market for the bathroom.
This research led to the creation of Kanto, which reappropriates the “corners” and smaller spaces of the bathroom, Filo, the first highly customisable undercounter washbasin, Otis, which ennobles the archetypal washbasin
pedestal, and finally the Itaca collection, where elements are set apart from the walls to become actual islands. Formal contaminations constructed through poetic assonances generate a fluid and comfortable elegance, always characterised by simple forms and harmonious volumes that amplify the sensation of lightness and pleasantness.
Cielo products continue to stand out for their craftsmanship, in an indissoluble connection between efficiency, stability and aesthetics, where the undisputed protagonist remains ceramics.

 Inspiring Wallcovering Projects catalog

The Glamora catalog is a visual journey through exclusive projects realized worldwide, organized into six categories: Residential, Hospitality, Dining, Working, Public, and Wellness.

The editorial design alternates large immersive images with emotional texts, accompanied by an “identity card” that highlights the versatility of Glamora wallcoverings.

The layout is designed for a clear and elegant experience, with a paper change at the end of the catalog that gathers translations in four languages, ensuring a smooth narrative flow.

ADRENALINA INCONTRA

The second curatorial project “Adrenalina incontra” is dedicated to people with visual disabilities and opens a multisensory dialogue between design and visually impaired and blind individuals, exploring a design approach based on synesthesia. The goal of Adrenalina is to narrate what happens to design when it cannot count on visual fascination, focussing therefore on all the other human senses, thus going beyond traditional aesthetic standards. The exploration of this language and its relationship with reality and objects began at the Omero Tactile Museum in Ancona, a place where sensations stimulate the imagination of everyone, regardless of visual ability. Through touch, audio guides, and braille supports, the understanding of objects is freed from verbalism, reconnecting every word to a concrete experience. With the Francesco Cavazza Institute for the Blind, we experimented with design in a practical way, excluding sight and enhancing every other ability. Visually impaired and blind participants embarked on a journey of discovery through a miniature sofa construction workshop, experiencing direct contact with Adrenalina’s design through touch, sound, weight, temperature, and shape, culminating in the co-design of a sofa with Studio Debonademeo. From these encounters, it emerged that beauty arises from the balance between functions, proportions, and sensations and can be explored without the use of sight. This activates a dialogue of gestures and words that connects places, objects, and people.

Marcel, Theo, Les Petites, I Catini

A series of new catalogues for Ceramica Cielo collection 2022/23.
A collection of small publications that showcase individual and different products of the brand. Each product has its own characteristics and language, which are also meant to be represented through the graphics and printing techniques used; the covers, chapter openings, fonts, and colors always change to make the character and peculiarities of the product evident. Marcel, with rational and elegant shapes in curved wood and Vienna straw, the punch on the cover and the card inserted with laser cut immediately create a connection with this product. I Catini, plays on the different base shapes of this collection, and on the infinite combinations of glossy and opaque colors that can be created on the same piece of furniture. Les Petites, the washbasin solution for small spaces, told through small images of styling with wide margins and silver hot foil. Theo, inspired by the De Stijl movement, with game of visual balances made up of planes and lines, in which color and design remain the main protagonists.

Un nuovo logo e una nuova immagine. Il cammino di rinnovamento si manifesta completamente nel nuovo Catalogo, nel viaggio tra esperienza passata ed evoluzione attuale. Una selezione di nuove immagini, che suggerisce svariati utilizzi delle lampade. Dal domestico al contract le ispirazioni si susseguono e riflettono lo stile contemporaneo e sofisticato di una realtà profondamente cambiata.

Le Acque di Cielo Collection 2020

TO TELL: As with words, also with colours. Ceramica Cielo presents “Le Acque di Cielo”; a collection of intense tones, once again inspired by nature, but characterised by shiny reflections. This new glossy palette joins the existing matt colours of “Le Terre di Cielo” enabling you to create new sensations and therefore new stories. The possibilities of interpretation are remarkable, from a more traditional and sober concept to the creation of more daring combinations, which can follow trends and fashions, not only in the architectural field. It is now possible for you to combine glossy and matte colours in the same project. In this way bathroom finally frees itself from the sole idea of functionality and stands on a par with the other rooms in the house.}
